

Beginning his career as Operations Manager, Mr. Hatmaker has spent more than 26 years with L.H. Cranston. During his tenure with the company, Norm also held positions of Vice President of the Mechanical division & Vice President of business development before assuming his current role as President and CEO in 2005. Norm is a graduate of the West Virginia Institute of Technology and is active with Associated Builders and Contractors and numerous charitable associations.
Michael D. Kaiser (Mike)
Chief Operating Officer
Mike possesses in excess of 25 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate and specifically, development, sales & marketing, and management of commercial facilities. Mike currently has responsibility for overseeing operations for L.H. Cranston including the Mechanical, Electrical, and Service Divisions. Mike is also responsible for sales and marketing for the Company. Mike holds an MBA and BA degrees from Loyola College in Maryland. Mike is the immediate past president of the Building Owners and Managers Association – Baltimore, (BOMA) and currently on its’ Board of Directors. Mike is also a member of the Building Committee at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, the Building and Grounds Committee at Notre Dame Preparatory High School and is involved with various volunteer committees for Loyola College.
Russell DeRose (Russell)
Chief Financial Officer
Russell joined L.H. Cranston in 2000 bringing extensive experience in financial management, corporate taxation, strategic planning, and information technology. Russell currently oversees all accounting operations for the Company as well as having responsibility for the Company’s information technology systems. Russell possesses an undergraduate Business degree from Towson University, an MBA from the University of Baltimore and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Gerald Cervelloni (Jerry)
Senior Vice President, Mechanical Division
Jerry possesses in excess of 26 years of experience in the construction industry. Jerry started his career as a draftsman and progressed to Vice-President in charge of the Baltimore division of a large mechanical contractor prior to joining L.H. Cranston in 2001. Jerry currently oversees all facets of our mechanical division. Jerry possesses degrees in mechanical environmental technology from the University of Houston and a sociology degree from the University of New York, Brockport.
Jeffrey Cummins (Jeff)
Vice President, Service Division
Jeff joined L.H. Cranston in 2004 bringing with him 24 years of experience with a large Baltimore based mechanical/service firm. Jeff is responsible for directing all aspects of our service division including the management of 60 service technicians. Jeff also has the task of developing new business initiatives aimed specifically at tenant improvement work and on site facility management services.
Carol Bonas (Carol)
Director of Human Resources
Carol joined L.H. Cranston in 1993, beginning her tenure as part of the Accounting department. In 1997, Carol became Director of Human Resources for the Company complimenting 20 years of experience in a family owned business where Carol served as General Manager, Human Resources Director and Treasurer. Carol is responsible for directing all human resource functions for the Company including directing the Company’s training and safety programs. Carol is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, where she earned a degree in mathematics. Carol has also participated in the environmental studies program at Johns Hopkins University. Carol is active in Associated Builders and Contractors Association.
William Kleinfelder (Bill)
Electrical Operations Manager
Bill joined L.H. Cranston in early 2006 as a Senior Project Manager in our electrical division. Possessing more than 20 years of experience in the electrical construction business, Bill brought to Cranston experience in managing electrical, mechanical, civil rehabilitation, instrumentation and equipment projects in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Washington, DC. Bill had responsibility for projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $26 million along with supervisory and management responsibility for the attending construction personnel. Bill also possesses extensive experience in blue print analysis, value engineering and has a broad knowledge of building laws and OSHA safety standards. Bill is a graduate of Ithaca College and is active with the Maryland Apprentice Training Council, ABC Education and Training Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for ABC, Baltimore Chapter.
Joey Chambers (Joey)
Safety Director
Possessing 30 years of experience in management of safety programs, operations, training and policy and procedure development, Joey joined L.H. Cranston in 2006, as the company’s safety director. Responsible for overall safety programs, Joey’s duties and responsibilities include safety training, claims administration, equipment safety analysis and on site safety analysis of our job sites. Joey possesses extensive experience with regulations issued by OSHA, EEO and DOT and has experience in data base management and Human Resources.
Brian T. Hatmaker (Brian)
Director of Sales and Marketing
Brian joined the L.H. Cranston team in 2007 as Director of Sales and Marketing adding significant depth and experience to our expanding group of sales professionals. Brian possesses in excess of 15 years of contracting, sales and marketing experience in the commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry with special emphasis on the mission critical and data center facility markets. As part of his experience, Brian spent the past 12 years with Liebert Corporation specializing in sales and marketing of their Precision Cooling Business. Most recently, Brian held the position of Precision Cooling Business Sales Manager for the Liebert Capitol Office in Washington, D.C.
